Blooming by Grace: A Journey of Faith, Work, and Encouragement

I would not have even had the idea for our soap flowers if it had not been for my mother-in-law, Teresa. She once said that her orchid bar soap was too pretty to use. That simple compliment stirred a question: How can something beautiful also be usable—both a delight to the eye and the everyday?

I don’t know if I would’ve received the answer—by Grace—if it hadn’t been spoken aloud.

Encouragement carries us.

Hebrews 3:13 reminds us to encourage one another daily. That kind of encouragement has come to me in so many ways—sometimes from a gentle word, sometimes from Scripture, and sometimes in a whisper from the Holy Spirit as I stood over my kitchen sink, shaping the very first soap flower.

Of course, there were doubts too.
“This is a dumb idea.”
“Who would ever want a soap flower?”

But God’s Word gave reassurance. Proverbs 18:16 says,

“A man’s gift makes room for him.”I felt the Holy Spirit whisper: He will make room for the gifts He gives.

Recently, I had the joy of being a guest on Christian Women Rising – Episode 10: Building Business and Family with Faith, hosted by Angela Butler.

On the podcast, I share more about this journey—how faith led the way even in uncertain moments, and how listening to the Holy Spirit helped me keep blooming.

Available also on your favorite podcast platform.

To all the encouragers—thank you.
This post, and that podcast, are my small ways of giving back.

I pray this message reminds you that your gifts have purpose and are worth nurturing. Keep blooming—even if you’re still figuring it out.

With love and grace,
—Amber

  • Your soap flowers send a message of caring, calmness and well being. I have bought your flowers for many years. The last one I sent to my sister-in-law, Beth. She received it when she arrived home after a week of caretaking for her grandkids. She was overwhelmed. Thank you
